I’m a writer, reader, explorer, yoga teacher, nature-lover, plant-eater, and oxford comma advocate. I grew up in Upstate New York, but have lived around the country and traveled across the world. I have an MA in creative writing Wilkes University and I’m currently living in Denver. My work has appeared in Bitch, WELL+GOOD, The Daily Beast, Healthline, Insider, and more. Writing is my job, my passion, and my way of ascribing meaning to my life.

From the outside, a Sunday drive seems aimless.

But for those who take such a trip, the absence of a destination is intentional. Your ability to drink in the serene country hills, the soft wind in your hair, and the sun warming your skin is what imbues these journeys with purpose.

This newsletter is meant to help you escape the woes of the world and remember a different place and time. Think of each issue like a rear-view vignette — a dedication to something that has given my life meaning.1

Writing these stories is a way of reminding myself that life is comprised of moments, not milestones.

I long to erase the tired idea that your life will only hold value once you achieve certain societal standards; that a life worth living exists somewhere beyond the now.

Instead, I am interested in telling the truth about the moments that have been wonderful, heart-wrenching, and everything in-between.

So even when they lack an ending or apparent destination, which they often will, these unhurried detours are meant to evoke a sense of wonder and purpose.

I hope you find the trip worthwhile.
